Work With Me

Jessica Jennings, MS, ERYT, RYPT

Jessica Jennings has been a prenatal yoga teacher since 2001, and is also a lifestyle educator, transformational group facilitator and prenatal yoga teacher trainer. In 2009 she founded Ma Yoga® for Pregnancy, Motherhood & Beyond: an internationally registered prenatal yoga school and global community that trains teachers to inspire, guide and support moms and moms-to-be.

Ma Yoga’s curriculum grew out of Jessica’s training as a Certified Anusara Yoga teacher, as well as her Masters in Kinesiology and six years teaching in the Ob/Gyn Department of Kaiser Hospital, where she developed and ran a group visit and prenatal yoga program.

Jessica believes that with just a little support we can change the challenges of this journey into discoveries of our innate power, wisdom, and nurturing energy – and she fell in love with teaching mamas.

As part of her Masters in Kinesiology, Jessica developed and ran a group visit and prenatal yoga program in the Ob;Gyn Department at Kaiser Hospital. After six years of seeing how beautifully the east and west combined to provide education, as well as a shared experience that was empowering for participants, she decided to help create “Mama Circles” in different neighborhoods.

After training Certified Ma Yoga teachers in business, marketing and helping them create over ten locations in Southern California she realized there were so many women who didn’t have access to these classes, or couldn’t afford them, and thus Ma Yoga Living was born.

Ma Yoga Living offers online yoga and education for pregnant women and busy nurturers. The pregnancy and lifestyle experts in this supportive community are Certified Ma Yoga® yoga teachers, doulas, midwives, nutritionists, OB/Gyns, pediatricians, coaches and of course lots of moms and moms-to-be.

All the practitioners in the Ma Yoga Living community share a passion for helping mamas celebrate the sweet moments, as well as use the bumps along the path to learn to become co-creators of the lives they want to lead.

In addition to overseeing the local Southern California community, Jessica runs the Ma Yoga Prenatal Certification Program as well as the Ma Yoga Living yoga and education platform. She loves the opportunity to talk to thought leaders in her Mama Talk podcast, and enjoys writing blogs.

Jessica is grateful to have work that feels meaningful, and that lets her pick her daughter up from school and hear about her day. She totally digs being with her family and is pretty much a homebody. She has been dreaming of a way to connect with a lot of women without leaving home since 2007, when she took her first online course.

She is so excited to help moms and moms-to-be incorporate practices that will help them be their highest “Ma” selves – in their own living rooms!
